CMSS protests government's 'anti-Assam' policy

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), Oct 24: The activists of Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti (CMSS) Golaghat district committee burnt the effigy of Prime Minister rendra Modi on Monday to protest against the agreement for greater galim. Talking to media persons, the general secretary of the organization, Keshab Bora said that the rendra Modi-led BJP government had been taking anti-Assamese policies after coming to power. Once Assam’s land was given away to Bangladesh and again the BJP government decided to handed over almost 66,000 hectares land belonging to Assam to galand in order to build greater galim. This anti-Assam policy of the government has brought a threat to the people of Assam, he said. The CMSS also slammed the role of Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal. The activists shouted various slogans against the BJP government.
