Co-scholastic activity is an energizer, says rank holder

GUWAHATI, June 1:  Can academics and co-scholastic activities exist side by side?  This is a basic question often asked by students, guardians and educators.  “For me extra curricular activities are not extra but part and parcel of my academics.  They are not simply separable but complementary and energizer” said Bitoban Das, one of the 10 CGPA holders of the St. Francis De Sales Senior Secondary School, rengi, Guwahati.   Bitoban Das, a studious student and great debater and quizzer of the school, has emerged as a perfect champion in the recently announced CBSE result.  

Whenever he got a chance he never missed to be part of the debates and quiz competition anywhere in the city.  At the same time he was capable of maging his time in such a way that he never neglected his studies, said Pallavi Das, his class teacher.

St. Francis de Sales School has become a synonym for the perfect mix of academics and co-scholastic activities which creates a healthy and balanced human being.  With the tag line Touching Lives and Moulding Future, the school believes that true education is possible only when Academics is perfectly blended with co-curricular activities.

A total of 121 appeared in the class X examition, out of which 21 secured a 10 CGPA while 27 students got 9.   The school had also received an excellent result in the class 12 examition too.  Amit Kr. Routh, the captain of the School Basketball team and an outgoing student of Cl. XII was elated with his 86 % said that I am fortute and blessed to have got such a school where my overall persolity is nurtured and developed by the caring and opportunity driven learning environment. This was stated in a press release.
