Coaching camp started for conflict–affected students

KOKRAJHAR, January 18:  The Discovery Club, an NGO of Kokrajhar iugurated a residential coaching centre recently for the conflict–affected students who will appear in the HS and HSLC fil examition this year and who are languishing in different relief camps. The coaching camp has been started at Monglajhora, Joypur HS School.

The coaching centre was iugurated by the vice–president of Discovery Club, va Kr. Basumatary by lighting of candle in a meeting held in the school premises. The meeting was chaired by Satyath Tudu. The iugural meeting was also attended by president of Kokrajhar district committee, ABSU Premjit rzary, president of Kokrajhar district All Santhali Students’ Union (ASSU), Jathan Murmu, secretary Paresh Tudu, secretary of Discovery Club, Hariswar Brahma and Sandip Basfore, Assistant Teacher of the centre.

The Discovery Club set a target to accommodate about 200 conflict–affected students from both Kokrajhar and Chirang districts. Free coaching will be given at the centre from January 18 to March 10 for the students who are appearing in the HS and HSLC fil examitions.

The centre has been started with the objective of providing a better environment for the conflict–affected students to prepare for their examition. The students will also be given persolity development training and career guidance. The Discovery Club is also planning to impart job oriented vocatiol training to the students and unemployed youths.
