Coal India Limited urged to increase coal auction

From a Correspondent

MARGHERITA, Nov 19: Vinod Kumar Gourh, proprietor of Mahadevi Coal Enterprise, Margherita, has appealed to the magement of North Eastern Coal Fields Coal India Limited, Margherita to increase the coal auction which has been causing a lot of problems for all the registered coal traders and dealers of NECF Coal India Limited Margherita. Vinod Kumar Gourh said that that since the last three months NECF Coal India Limited Margherita had auctioned coal not more 22,000 tonnes which was much lesser than what was required for the buyers of Assam and other States. “Margherita subdivision is a vast area where 22,000 tonnes coal auction is not sufficient because this cannot fulfill the requirement of buyers. So NECF Coal India Limited Margherita should auction more than 90,000 tonnes coal in order that all the registered coal traders and dealers who are legally engaged in this coal trade can do business without any kind of inconvenience,” he said.
