Collection of short stories Kabya-Galpa released

BOKAKHAT, June 15: “Only the man who experiences sorrows and sufferings in life can know what is life and the man who knows life can contribute something to the society,” said artist Gu Mahanta while releasing  Kabya-Galpa,  the sixth publication of Abhilash Prakashan at a function held at the premises of Satya rayan Mandir Bokakhat.

Abhilash Prakashan has been med after the deceased son of Dr Rubi Bora, Assistant Professor of Bokakhat JDSG College. Kabya-Galpa is a collection of stories based on themes of a few selected poems composed by young poets of Bokakhat.

According to Mahanta, conversion of poems to short stories was a new attempt in Assamese literature. Pratik - the logo of Abhilash Prakashan drawn by Soneswar rah was also released by poet Tarun Rajkhowa  at the same function which was attended by Dilip Phuka, poet and novelist,  Programme Executive of Guwahati Radio, Rajib Phukan, Dr Babulal More, Vice-Principal of  JDSG College and many others.
