College week of Kaliabor College gets underway

KALIABOR, Jan 25: The 48th college week of Kaliabor College started from Tuesday. It will conclude on January 30.

The flag of the college was hoisted by the Principal, Dr. Hiranya Kr. Chaliha. Vice-Principal of the college, Prof. Runima Sarmah lit the traditiol lamp as a mark of homage to the martyrs of Assam. The sports events for the students were iugurated by the Principal formally in the college field in presence of students and teachers. The first event was 100m race among the boys. A good number of students participated in the race. The event was preceded by circumambulation of the field by a student with an ignited torch. On the concluding day, distinguished singer Dr. Anjan Jyoti Choudhury will be the chief guest in the prize distribution ceremony and Prabhat Goswami, president of the college governing body will also be present as the distinguished guest.
