Colombia defeat Bolivia 3-2

La Paz, March 25: An injury-time goal from Edwin Cardo saw Colombia stch a 3-2 away win over Bolivia in the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign here. Star-studded Colombia looked to have squandered a comfortable victory after Bolivia fought back from 0-2 down to level 2-2, heading into stoppage time on Thursday. But just when the Bolivians were preparing to celebrate a well-earned point, midfielder Cardo stunned the home fans with a fine low shot. The victory was Colombia’s only second in five matches so far in South America’s marathon qualifying competition for berths in the 2018 World Cup fils in Russia. Bolivia will travel to Argenti on March 30 for their sixth match in the qualifiers while Colombia will receive Ecuador in Barranquilla. IANS
