Commissioner of railway safety inspects Aruchal-Jiribam railway line

SILCHAR, March 11: Commissioner of Railway Safety, Northern & NF Circle, Kolkata Shailesh Pathak, inspected the newly converted BG line from Aruchal near Silchar (Assam) to Jiribam (Manipur) on Wednesday & Thursday. On Wednesday he conducted a Motor Trolley inspection from Aruchal to Siribar and on Thursday from Siribar to Jiribam. Thereafter the CRS conducted a High speed trial run on 10.03.2016 from Jiribam to Aruchal at maximum speed of 117 kmph. The 51 KM section has 3 B-Class stations , 4 halt stations, 17 major bridges,1 important bridge, 80 minor bridges, 7 road under bridges (RUBs) & 11 manned level crossing gates.

CRS, NF Circle was accompanied by Ajit Pandit, Chief Administrative Officer/Con-3 and other officials.
