Commissioning of EVMs

SHILLONG, Dec 7: In preparation for the upcoming By-Election to the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council of 1-War East District Council Constituency, the commissioning of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) was done today in the Conference Hall of the office of the Sub-Divisiol Officer (C), Amlarem. S. C. Laloo, ADC, West Jaintia Hills District, I. Laloo, SDO (C), Amlarem and Assistant Returning Officer to the 1-War East District Council By-Election, officers and technical engineers from the Election Department were present to supervise the commissioning of the EVMs. Representatives of the various political parties contesting in the By-Election were also present.
