Committee formed for development of Jorhat town

Jorhat, Jan 24: The district administration of Jorhat has formed a district-level committee to look after and coordite the process and activities to tackle the urban flooding problem in Jorhat on Tuesday. The committee was formed with Additiol Deputy Commissioner, Disaster Magement, Jorhat as chairperson and Circle Officer, Jorhat east revenue circle as member secretary. The members of the committee are Executive Officer, Jorhat Municipal Board, Deputy Director, Town and Country Planning, Executive Engineer PWD State roads, Executive Engineer Water Resources, Executive Engineer DRDA, Jorhat, District Project Officer, Jorhat, Assistant Executive Officer, Town and Country Planning, Assistant Executive Engineer, Urban Water Supply, senior citizen Bhaba Chetia, S K Bordoloi, Babul Kumar Baruah, Rintu Goswami and Mridul Bhuyan. Fund amounting to Rs 44 lakh from the MLA fund and Public Works department has been sanctioned for the projects.
