Committee of PRC Deprived People Calls For A Meeting At The City Hotel

ITANAGAR: Welcoming the controversial statement on granting PRC to the Non-APST people of Changlang district and Lekang circle of Namsai, the Peace Co-ordination Committee for PRC deprive people’s of Changlang and Namsai district Arunachal Pradesh, called a meeting here at the city hotel, on Friday. The committee also condemned the organization, society, individual, political parties who opposed the decision of the government stating that these people do not know the actual fact of the deprived people.

It also requested the people of the state to know about the reality of the origin and genealogy of the Non-APST and asked not to create communal tension and put unnecessary blame and objection to the promise that DCM Chowna Mein and Chief Minister Pema Khandu made.

The committee said that the people of the district have been waiting for decades for this moment to be given PRC to them as they were not getting their basic rights from the state government since independence.

“It is to utter surprise that despite being Indian Citizen, they are fighting for their rights since long years but these people were not enjoying their rights to freedom under Article 19 of Indian Constitution,” the committee said.

“We on behalf of the committee in particular and deprived people of the affected area, in general, welcome the landmark decision by the state government, the committee said adding that they are hoping that the government will not roll back the decision of granting PRC to the Non-APST as a new year gift.
