Committee submits report on APCMUHIS

Itagar, Feb 3: The committee constituted to study the functioning of Aruchal Pradesh Chief Minister’s Universal Health Insurance Scheme (APCMUHIS) and to recommend modification for better and comprehensive coverage, submitted its report here on Thursday.

The report was received by Health Minister Jomde Ke in presence of state government spokesperson P D So, DHS Dr Moji Jini and Chief Medical Superintendent Dr R D Khrime, an official release informed. Ke appreciated the committee for in-depth alysis of the scheme. Briefing on the report, Animal Husbandry and Veteriry Minister Dr Mohesh Chai, who is the chairman of the committee, said that the report had made short term as well as long term recommendations keeping the interest of the beneficiaries in the centre stage.

Health special secretary Prince Dhawan, who is also the member secretary of the committee, briefed the minister on the details of the scheme and the modalities adopted by the committee for making the report. Other members of the committee included Dr Ta Takum, Nodal Officer APCMUHIS, Dr bam Peter, Health Research Scientist and V C Hello, FAO of the health department, the release added.
