Commul politics will affect tiol unity, integrity and security: CITU

Jorhat, September 12: The Centre for Indian Trade Unions (CITU) on Monday said politics over religion would affect tiol unity, integrity and security. “Hindu organizations are doing politics over Hinduism and some fundamentalist groups are working in favour of Muslims. They are trying to create religious polarization which is bad for the security, unity and integrity of the tion,” said Tapon Sarmah, president of All Assam Building and Other Construction Workers (AABOCW). During the fourth annual conference of AABOCW, Jorhat district unit, the organization also took resolution to mount pressure on the government to take fruitful steps for checking price rise of essential commodities and to provide at least 13 essential commodities like rice, sugar, dal and mustard oil through public distribution system soon in the country.
