Community awareness programme held

SHILLONG, Sept 15: The office of the District Medical & Health Officer West Khasi Hills District, Nongstoin organized a one-day community awareness and sensitization on various health programmes under the department of Health and Family Welfare, tiol Health Mission at TRYSEM Hall on Wednesday. The programme was attended by religious leaders, headmen, Anganwadi Health Supervisor and Workers, ASHAs of the district. The resource persons include doctors from West Khasi Hills, Nongstoin and medical experts from Shillong. The objective of the awareness programme was to sensitize the various health programmes under the tiol Health Mission that would in turn aim to bring about a positive change in the health seeking behavior of the community with the support of various line department of the government.
