Community hall iugurated

Kalaigaon, Mar 2: mkhola is a remote village in the Darrang district which is devoid of adequate infrastructure facilities.  Army Camp Deomori based at Chapai once again came up with a helping hand to villagers.  This time the Army organised a function to iugurate construction of community hall facility for the villagers of mkhola in Darrang district under Opertaion Sadbhava.

An army official in a statement said that the project was iugurated by the officials from Army Camp Chapai wherein the newly constructed community hall with toilet facility was handed over to Principal Adarsh Jatiya Vidyalaya, Salaipara (mkhola). Presently, the aim of this project is to provide space for staging events to the villagers.  

Moreover, the same can be used as a shelter during time of floods thereby will aid in the infrastructure development of the area.  Such facilities go a long way in the development of the area as more and more youth are involved into positive activities, the official added.

Indian Army distributed Furniture, School bags, statiory and sports items to the students of Jharbari High School (ME School) in Kokrajhar district today as part of noble endeavor to encourage the students and promote education and sports amongst the youth.  The distribution of items by the Army has been welcomed by the students and teachers and has left a favorable and long lasting impression on the young minds.  The ceremony was hugely appreciated by the entire school staff, students, parents, local populace and civil administration, he said.
