Community Level meeting on NRC draft publication underway

KALAIGAON, Nov 10: The Udalguri District Administration is gearing up for NRC draft publication which to be published on December 31. Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri district accompanied with Circle Officer of Kalaigaon Revenue Circle has sought co-operation and help from the common people to maintain peaceful environment during the draft NRC publication. A community level meeting on NRC draft publication was held on Friday at the premise of Bhakatpara Krishi Kendra under Kalaigaon Revenue Circle with the common people.

Biraj Barua, Circle Officer of Kalaigaon Revenue Circle organized the crucial meeting to discuss the NRC update system. All the Gaonburhas under Bhakatpara NRC Seva Kendra along with NRC officials of Kalaigaon also attended the meeting. More than 200 people attended the meeting. Dilip Kr. Das, Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri, DN Hazarika, SDO(C) of Bhergaon sub-division, ADC Anupam Chaudhury and Rajveer Singh, Superintendent of Police, Udalguri took part in this meeting on Friday.

 Meanwhile, Anupam Chaudhury, Addl. DC of Udalguri said that there would be no categorization such as “Origil Inhabitants” or otherwise should be made in draft NRC and fil NRC list. Speaking on the occasion, SP Rajveer Singh declared that no injustice to anyone will be done. But violation of law by individual or organizations would be dealt with firmly.
