Compensation paid to man-elephant conflict victims

Barpeta, March 22: An ex-gratia support of RS 25000 each under the Human Elephant Conflict Mitigation component of Greater Mas Conservation Project (GMCP) of IFAW-WTI was handed over to the two victim families by the H K Sarma, Field Director, Mas Tiger Project. The Field Director, MTP handed over the cheques to the family members of Nurmohan Das and Habel Ali , the two victims who were injured by wild elephants under Basbari Range of Mas NP in two separate incidents.
