Complaint against Additiol Deputy Commissioner

Jorhat, February 21: BJP candidate from Ward No. 8, Prabir Saikia, who recently lost in the Jorhat civic polls has registered a complaint against Additiol Deputy Commissioner Rubul Lekharu in a police station. According to Saikia, the ADC had plotted with the Congress candidate Prashanta Bora to make him win in the polls. Jorhat Police has registered cases against Lekharu of violating section 166, 406, 420, 380 of the Indian Pel Code. Since both the candidates had won an equal number of votes, the Congress candidate was declared winner through a lottery. Investigation officer Utpal Dutta is currently investigating this matter.
