Complaint against Rilang Pyngrope

SHILLONG, Jan 2: Civil Society Women Organization (CSWO) president Agnes Kharshiing, on December 29, lodged a complaint against Rilang Pyngrope to have beaten her 14-year-old son Gerry Pyngrope, which led him to succumb to his injuries.

Gerry Pyngrope is a resident of Dong Khliehshnong, Mawlynrei of East Khasi Hill (EKH).

On the very same day around 6 am, one Maruti Wagon-R (ML-05K-7822) dashed against a road divider at 19th Mile Byrnihat (RB). As a result, driver of the vehicle sustained injuries and was shifted to PHC Byrnihat for treatment.

On December 27 around 9 pm, one Mahindra Bolero vehicle (number not known) knocked down Sunshine War Laithma (21) of Jaiaw Laitdom, Shillong. As a result, victim sustained injuries and was admitted at Dr. Gordon Roberts Hospital, Shillong for treatment.

Meanwhile, arosund 3 pm on December 26, a fire broke out in the house of Riolinda Surong and spread to a nearby house belonging to Skill Surong at Sohiong (EKH).  In the incident both the houses were completely gutted. Police said that the loss of property is estimated at Rs. 2,50,000 approximately. In another incident, on December 25 one Biswajit Chakraborty of Kadamsali village West Garo Hill (WGH) lodged an FIR at a local police station that unknown miscreants had stolen his motorcycle (ML-08E-8222).
