Crimil cases on the rise in Dibrugarh
From a Correspondent
Dibrugarh , September 7: A complaint was registered against the theft of a vehicle bearing registration No – AS / 06/ K/ /0371, by Sarawan Shaw here at Dibrugarh Sadar Police Station.
As stated in the FIR, on August 31 at about 1-30 am , the complaint had parked his vehicle at the front of his house at Kartikpara Lane No-2 and when he woke up in the morning, Shaw found his vehicle missing from the parked area.
The complaint, after putting his best efforts to trace the vehicle, had filed a complaint of theft at the local police station, requesting the investigating officer to look into the matter and do the needful for recovery of his vehicle. However, no effective steps were taken by the police authorities to trace the vehicle which was lifted just a few meters away from the town police station.
Being highly dissatisfied with the indifference of the investigating police officials to map out the investigation for recovery of the vehicle or b the miscreants associated with the rising cases of car pilfering in the district, the complaint has questioned the operatiol process of the police administration for their utter failure in tracing out the stolen vehicle.
The aforesaid car theft incident that brings to light the swelling number of crimil cases in Dibrugarh town, has indeed put a big question mark on the security concerns of the residents of the entire town areas.
Lack of proper vigilance and investigation by the police force regarding the growing incidents of crimil activities like robbery, kidpping, car and bike thefts, including other petty crimes, indeed has put the town on the radar of miscreants to carry out their unlawful acts in the district.
