Concept of introducing model school in pipeline: Ngandam

ITAGAR, Oct 4: Aruchal Pradesh Education minister Honchun Ngandam on Monday said that the government’s concept of introducing model school in the state to give new direction to the education system is in the pipeline.

The minister who visited the Government Higher School at Chongkham termed it as an already established model school that he dreams of establishing in the state.

The minister was accompanied by parliamentary secretary for planning Chau Zingnu mchoom, education secretary Bidol Tayeng, Elementary Education director Tapi Gao and SSA project director Opak Gao besides many other dignitaries, an official release informed.

“The concept of introducing model school in the state to give new direction to the education system in the state is always my dream and is in the pipeline,” Ngandam said adding, that during his long tenure, he had visited many schools but had never seen any school with white boards which the Chongkham School has.

Further stating that the school has really stood out amongst other school of the state, the minister congratulated the school principal, teachers and the magement staff for the achievement.

“I am very happy and surprised to find this school functioning as already established model school of his dreams in state. The state government under the visiory leadership of young chief minister Pema Khandu was to implement his vision of introducing model school in every district but this concept has been fulfilled by GHS Chongkham, he further stated.

Echoing the education minister, education secretary Tayeng in his brief speech, praised the cleanliness of the school premises, magement of the classrooms, dedication of the teachers, discipline of the students and the art of motivation by the principal, the release added.
