Concern over erosion by River Desang

DEMOW, May 22:  In Thowra constituency under Demow Water Resource Sub-division Department at Bokulduwa, erosion of Desang River has become a major concern. Since long, erosion of Desang River at Bokulduwa has been a problem and the former MLA of Thowra constituency allegedly did not any steps to solve this problem during his tenure. The Water Resource Department also did not taken any steps to stop the erosion. Under Demow Circle Office at Thowra mouza, the farmers of Sarugua and Palengi Gaon Panchayat came out with a team on Saturday with bamboo and made embankment to check the erosion. The people are hoping that Kushal Dowari, the new MLA of Thowra constituency, will take necessary erosion-control measures.
