Concern over mushrooming of brick kilns

MORIGAON, March 14: Expressing serious concern over mushrooming of brick kilns in seven tribal belts like Guva, Tetelia, Palahguri, Ghaguwa, Jamadari, Borangoni and Kothojari, the Tribal Sangha and Tiwa Students’ Union have demanded the Deputy Commissioner not to give permission for setting up of brick kilns on agricultural land and also demanded to close the illegal brick kilns.

The farming lands have been damaged by smoke coming out through chimneys and use of coal. In this regard, both organizations submitted a memorandum to the DC on Tuesday.
