Concern over poor condition of roads in Margherita

MARGHERITA, April 8: Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chaatra Parishad (AJYCP) Margherita Regiol Committee leader Kanchan Bora has slammed Assam PWD minister Ajanta Neog and Margherita constituency MLA Pradyut Bordoloi for the dilapidated condition of roads in Margherita.

Bora said that roads like Margherita - Pengree Road, Led Mulang Samti Road, Margherita Segunbari Road, gathakur Bari Road,Vineermill Bazaar  Road, Changlang Tiniali Road and Block Tiniali Road were in a poor condition. Potholes could be seen just a year after the roads were completed. Bora alleged that poor quality materials were used in the contruction of the roads and the funds sanctioned for the construction of the roads were siphoned off by contractors and the minister.

Bora said that if Margherita MLA Pradyut Bordoloi and PWD minister Ajanta Neog did not take concrete steps to repair the roads in Margherita, AJYCP Margherita Regiol Committee would launch a stir within a month.
