Concern over rising crime graph against women

SHILLONG, May 9: The youth wing of State BJP on Tuesday has expressed concern over the increasing crimes against women especially young children in Meghalaya. “There is no security of young girls. Situation has reached such a level that an uncle had murdered his own seven year old niece at Bynther in West Khasi Hills district,” Egenstar Kurkalang, president BJYM Meghalaya said. The BJYM leader said that ironically the government has not taken up any measure to tackle the mece and put a screeching halt to all violence against the female populace in the state. Kurkalang urged all social organization, religious groups and village dorbar to work together and condemn such crimes committed against the female populace.
