‘Confidence level of teachers below mark’

LONGDING, July 3: The first ever district level coordination meeting of principals, headmasters, head teachers, and in-charge teachers, BEOs, BRCC and CRCC under Longding district was held at DC Conference hall on Tuesday here.

In his brief speech the Longding DC Himanshu Gupta appealed to the teachers to be more committed towards their job and justify their salary government is paying for the purpose. “The confidence level of teaching staffs in the district is not up to the mark.” He lamented. “Good infrastructure, good road and sufficient textbooks are not just enough reasons to bring development. It is only education through which you can bring social revolution. I have seen that 70% of the teachers here are locale, and if you all commit yourselves to justify the profession, we can definitely achieve the goal,” he added.
