Cong led M’laya government corrupt & inefficient: Madhav

TURA, Jan 21: The Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP)’s tiol General Secretary Ram Madhav termed the Congress led Meghalaya United Alliance (MUA) Secretary as ‘corrupt and inefficient’.

Speaking to newsmen after the iuguration of the party regiol office in Tura on Saturday, Madhav stated, “The present government in the state is plagued by interl struggles and had gain the notoriety of being corrupt and inefficient.”

Stating that the State (Meghalaya) needs a clean and development centric government, the BJP leader further asserted: “In past ten years, I could not see anything except industries shutting down,” stated Madhav even as he added that the BJP is working hard in the entire poll bound states in the North eastern region.

Earlier during his speech at the iugural function of the party regiol office, the BJP general Secretary said the Government of Meghalaya and Manipur are creating hurdles to the path of development.” “In one and a half months, the people of Manipur will get a chance to get rid of the Congress regressive regime  and Meghalaya along with the rest of the North east will not fall short from vacating the corrupt and impotent congress government”, Madhav stated in his jibes against the Congress led governments

Exhorting the party workers to work hard, the BJP leader also said that his party intent is to make a mark in Meghalaya politics. “Our party will not be like a visitor which will rent a house do the work and leave after the job is over. We are building a house and we are here to stay in Meghalaya”, Madhav said. He also added that the BJP is working hard to improve the electoral prospects in Meghalaya in order to supplement the prime Minister path to progress.

Another BJP central leader lind Kohli in his address echoed similar tone by attacking the Mukul Sangma led government “ Mukul Sangma should be shown the door for lack of development”, Kohli stated, adding, “ Assam has led the way and Meghalaya should emulate”. The tiol spokesperson of the BJP and in charge of Meghalaya also said that the BJP consider the progress of the North Eastern states as important to the Prime Minister slogan of ‘Sabka saath sabka vikas’. “North East should develop or India will not fully develop”, stated Kohli besides emphasising on how the NDA government has been focussing right from the time of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
