Congo citizen detained in Tripura border

Agartala, August 9: Alertness of people bordering N C gar under Somura Police station of Sipahijala district and prompt action by the jawans of the Bibir Bazar outpost of the Border Guard  Bangladesh has prevented a foreigner from crossing Indian border illegally to enter Bangladesh. Badila Sidmin Sanselvig, a citizen of African tion Republic of Congo, was detained by BGB personnel at 50 yards inside Bangladesh in Golabari area and was handed over to Kotwli police station. It is the second incident of foreigner being detained while trying to cross over to Bangladesh through the N C. gar area. Earlier the BSF had detained two French citizens and handed them over to Somura police.  , On Saturday, the residents of N C gar, noticed a person crossing the intertiol border . They then  immediately informed the BGB people on duty, close to the border, who acted promptly.  Sahidul Islam, Commandant of 10 Bn BGB based in Comilla, issued a statement and said he is being interrogated.
