gaon, February14:  The Congress, which had to face defeat in the gaon civic polls, has allegedly started horse-trading to form the gaon Municipality Board.

The BJP won 14 seats out of 26, claiming its absolute majority to form the board whereas the ruling Congress was able to get only10 seats. Yet the Congress is still trying to form the Board. Part sources said that the Congress has already maged to win the support of one elected independent candidate and is trying to win the support of the other independent candidates as well as two other BJP candidates.

On the other hand, the newly elected ward commissioners of the BJP took a decision at a meeting on Saturday not to get lured by any such attempt by the Congress. BJP sources said that one independent candidate was a dissident of the party who contested as independent but had already come back to the party.  Party sources added that the Congress would not succeed in forming the Board, despite all the horse-trading.
