Congress allegedly violates norms while campaigning in Tinsukia

From our Correspondent

TINSUKIA, February 29: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has started its electioneering campaign with blatant violation of norms by hoisting party flags in traffic islands. While police personnel manning traffic sigls maintained indifferent attitude, the vehicle owners are having a tough time maneuvering the sigls as these flags are causing severe obstruction and distraction and likely to cause accidents. The Congress party has erected bamboo poles on the traffic island located at the junction of Makum Road- Chirwapatty Road- Mab Kalyan Road , known as SKF point in the busy AT Road here. Such illegal display has been strongly opposed by the conscious citizens of the town and they have demanded removal of these poles.
