Congress, BJP can't rise without Nehru-Gandhi family: APCC

ITAGAR, June 23: Congress as well as Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP) cannot rise without Nehru-Gandhi family, said Aruchal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC).

Terming the statement made by BJP’s tiol Secretary and Northeast in-charge Ram Madhav that downfall of the Congress Party was because of Nehru-Gandhi family as unfortute; APCC stated that whatever the BJP has achieved today is because of Maneka Gandhi and Varun Gandhi.

Madhav, who was a former RSS spokesperson, would not have made such comment if he had knowledge about the history of Indian politics, the party said in a release here today. Taking a dig at BJP led NDA government at Centre, the APCC said that all the tiol flagship programmes announced by Prime Minister rendra Modi are only a replica of same programme initiated earlier by the UPA Government.

“Changing the mes of the schemes by the ruling Central government is nothing but an act of befooling the people,” it said.

What happened to the promise made by the party to deposit Rs. 15 lakhs in the bank accounts of every Indian citizen” questioned the party.
