Congress candidate files nomition for by-poll

DIPHU, November 1: Congress party nominee and HSDC party supported candidate Rupon Sing Ronghang filed nomition papers for Baithalangso assembly constituency by-election before the returning officer and Deputy Commissioner of West Karbi Anglong district  at Hamren on Tuesday. Ronghang was accompanied by Biren Sing Engti, MP, Rokibul Hussain, MLA, Holiram Terang, former MLA, and a large number of party workers. The Congress party and HSDC, a regiol political party, has pre-poll alliance. Consequently HSDC has not fielded its candidate for this by-election. On November 19, the by-election will be held.
