Congress decries BJP on visa row

 From  a correspondent

Shillong, Feb 9: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPYC) has condemned the BJP-led NDA Government for allegedly rejecting the Visa application of the President of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) Dr. Paul Msiza. Dr Paul was to attend the function of Garo Baptist Church in Garo Hills here, which is celebrating 150 years of its existence. The MPYC also mocked tiol People’s Party (NPP) tiol president Conrad K Sangma as “memorandum MP”. “Conrad K Sangma has yet again tried to save face by circulating a letter on social media dated February 7 addressed to the Union Minister of Exterl Affairs, which, for the observant, we can see is without a receipt from the addressee,” MPYC president Richard Marak said. Marak also said that it was learnt that Sangma was informed of the rejection on February 5 and only because the news of rejection started circulating on social media did he wake up. The MPYC president said that it means that the Tura Lok Sabha MP was the least bit interested in the affairs of the people who sent him to Delhi.
