Congress doesn't have able leader: Antonio War

STAFF CORRESPONDENT
SHILLONG, Nov 22:  Executive member of the People’s Democratic Forum (PDF) in the Khasi Autonomous District Council (KHADC), Antonio War cited the absence of real leaders in the Congress and humility by Ministers in the present NDA government as a reason for his defection to the BJP. The two-time Congress MDC is a close associate of the expelled Congress MLA/MDC and present Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the KHADC Pynshngain N Syiem.  Notwithstanding his verbal barrage against the state Congress leadership in the state, War said, “The lotus is blooming and it’s time for pollition. I have friends who are talking to me and it’s only a matter of time”. War is said to be in a bitter relationship with the state Cabinet Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh before he side with the CEM of the KHADC in the political war against the Chief Minister Mukul Sangma.  He is also a probable contender against Amapreen Lyngdoh in the next state legislative Assembly elections.  “The Congress leaders are apathetic as evident from our plea to bail the KHADC from the fincial crunch,” stated the Executive Member in the KHADC.
