Congress holds meet at Ranikor

SHILLONG, Oct 27: Thousands of Congress supporters form different zones and units attended a general meeting at Ranikor on Friday. The meeting was organised by the Ranikor Block Congress Committee (RBCC).

In his speech at the meeting, Congress MLA from Mawphlang Kenedy Khyriem said, “The Congress party will once again come back to power in 2018 and it’s only the Congress party that can provide good governce.”

He also urged the people not to be misguided by other political parties, especially when Assembly election is just around the corner.

“Different political parties will try to mislead you by saying that the Congress will not come to power again in 2018, but you should not believe all these,” he exhorted the party workers.

Khyriem also urged the people of Ranikor constituency to continue extending their support to MM Dango, the Congress candidate from Ranikor and who is also currently the PWD Minister in the Mukul Sangma Cabinet, as they have done for the past 20 years.

“Give him another chance in the upcoming elections so that we can celebrate his 25 years in rendering service to the people,” he said.
