Congress into cheap propaganda: BJP

From our correspondent

Itagar, Feb 5: The BJP in Aruchal Pradesh has castigated the Congress for resorting to ‘cheap propaganda’ for the sake of opposing the BJP government.
“Instead of appreciating the high-voltage reforms on all fronts and crusade against corruption and more than 300 positive decisions, the Congress has reduced itself to a party of cheap propagandists. The Congress should have maintained its status and played the role of constructive opposition for the greater interest of the people,” State BJP vice-president Dominic Tadar said in a statement here.
“Terming the ambitious and most prospective developmental initiatives within a year as hollow and unrealistic promises is very unfortute and uncalled for on the part of the Congress. This period has witnessed fastest growth on all fronts,” Tadar said.
“There are almost no cases of rape, murder and theft in and around the capital complex and the Trans Aruchal Highway construction has been speeded up. It is visible everywhere, especially the Itagar-Seppa road that now takes 3-4 hours via Sagalee against 10-12 hours through Assam earlier,” Tadar said.
He added that Chief Minister Pema Khandu had not even spared his colleagues, including ministers and parliamentary secretaries, in his war against corruption.
“The CM, who really wants to change the face of the State along with his Team Aruchal, deserves huge appreciation for recommending CBI probe into the multi-crore PDS scam,” Tadar added.
