Congress lambasts Modi on demonetization

MARGHERITA, Feb 11: Margherita Block Congress Committee on Friday organized a Ja Bedo Panchayat against Prime Minister rendra Modi’s demonetization decision. The Ja Vedo Panchayat was held at Ledo Bazaar area where more than 1,000 local people gathered. Former State minister and Margherita MLA Pradyut Bordoloi, Margherita Block Congress Committee president Bhuban Handique and general secretary Probir Rajkhowa, Assam Pradesh Congress Congress general secretary Durga Das Boro, Tinsukia District Congress Committee president Jayanta Kalita, former minister of Aruchal Pradesh, Aasraj Chirang, Dandi Sonowal and Gaurab Somani were present. The meeting was presided over by Bhuban Handique, president of Margherita Block Congress Committee. At the Ja Vedo Panchayat, former minister Pradyut Bordoloi said that Prime Minister rendra Modi’s demonetization decision had ruined small traders, businessmen and workers. He said that Prime Minister rendra Modi was helping capitalists such as Ambani, Adani and Tata whose black money was safe but general people of the country had suffered a lot due to demonetization.  Durga Das Boro said that the BJP’s main agenda before election was price inflation, black money and to solve the unemployment problem. But after three years in power, the problems remained the same. Instead, due to demonetization the common people of the country were suffering.
