Congress leader and others join BJP

JORHAT, Jan 12: Congress leader and member of kachari-Zila Parishad, Pulen Chutia and others Congress, ATTSA, AGP and social workers of Mariani and other parts of the district joined the BJP at a meeting held outside the Jorhat Stadium premises on Wednesday. BJP Jorhat district committee organized a joining meeting which was presided over by Santanu Pujari, president of BJP Jorhat district committee. Member Parliament of Jorhat parliamentary constituency, Kamakhya Prasad Tasa spoke in the meeting and welcomed those who joined the party and urged them to help in the government’s development activities. Pulen Chutia, Congress leader and kachari Zila Parishad member, Biren Gogoi, president of Pub-kachari Mandal Congress committee, Bhupen Chutia, vice-president of Pub-kachari Mandal Congress committee,Taufiq Ali, NCP, Bidyut Gogoi, NCP, Mousumi Handique, Mahila Congress committee, ATTS leader and former Jorhat district president, Sontosh Kumar Jora, Atul Rajbongshi, social worker, Om Prakash, AGP worker, Ashim Kumar Mahili, AGP, Anu Bora, Sada Bora panchayat representative, Kamdev Kumar and Runu Saikia, Congress worker from Titabor joined the party.
