Congress leader's supporters take out rally

FROM A CORRESPONDENT
GAON (HAIBORGAON), March 18: Demanding Nurul Huda’s candidature in Rupahihat constituency on Friday morning, a protest rally was taken out by the supporters of  Huda, a close associate of Minister Rakibul Hussain and opposed the candidature of Salma Yasmin who is the daughter-in law of former MLA of the constituency Rashidul Haque.  The protesters however claimed that if the high command would provide the party ticket to Huda in the constituency, he would win the seat by a huge margin of votes this time. They even warned the high command that if it ignores the demand of those grassroots workers and supporters of congress party, then all of them would start an unexpected protest against the party across the state. Interestingly, thousands of workers or supporters of the brothers and sisters organizations of congress party along with other members or supporters of two other minority organizations like The Ulema Council of Assam and Emam Parishad were present in the protest rally.
