SHILLONG, Feb 17: Veteran Congress leader from Assam and former Chief Minister, Tarun Gogoi today alleged that the tiol People’s Party (NPP) of being the “B team” of the Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP). Speaking to media persons at the Congress Bhavan in Shillong, Gogoi said that the BJP wants to come to power in Meghalaya through the backdoor and was using its proxy the NPP. The former Assam Chief Minister also alleged that the BJP is funding the NPP. “Here (Meghalaya) the BJP wants to capture power by proxy and money is being pumped,” Gogoi added.
