Congress Party Workers turn violent in Nagaon's Samuguri, Burned posters of MLA Rockybul Hussain

Guwahati: Alike Biswanath and Tinsukia, now Angry Congress workers in Samuguri burned down the tables, chairs of the Congress Bhawan office and staged a massive protest against former Congress Minister and Samuguri MLA Rockybul Hussain.

The incident reportedly took place in Samuguri's Boroma area today.

The disgruntled party workers also started to burn and tear the posters of MLA Rockybul Hussain, the incident had led to a sensation in the area.

The party workers claimed that during every Panchayat Elections the eligible candidates have been deprived of getting tickets from contesting the polls.

Few of the party workers also claimed that one local Congress leader and teacher Malek Master is involved in distributing tickets to his close aides for the upcoming Panchayat Elections.

They further alleged that Malek Master is involved in giving the away the tickets in exchange for secret transactions of money.

It may be mentioned that a similar incident was reported from Nagaon's Rupahihat area, however, Rupahihat police timely intervened into the matter and brought the situation under control.
