Congress reacts to AGP’s allegation

Golaghat, Feb26: In the recent polls of cooperative societies, the Congress party backed candidates won all the 15 seats at Merapani Cooperative Society in Golaghat. In the polls, the Asom Ga Parishad (AGP) was defeated.

The defeated party raised allegations of unfair politics in the polls and hence the higher authorities have not formed the new committee of Merapani Cooperative Society.  Reacting to this,Golaghat District Congress Committee stated that it was a democratic process and the people had chosen the Congress party. Since the AGP could not accept its defeat, such false allegations were made.The Golaghat District Congress Committee administrative secretary warned and criticized the AGP for this. In a press release, he said that the Congress would move the court if the need arose.
