Congress ridicules work permit issue

Shillong, April 12: After the Congress legislators lampooned the Conrad K Sangma Government on the alleged proposed issuance of work permit to the Bangladeshis in the legislative Assembly, the Meghalya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) held a press conference in Shillong on Thursday to further ridicule the state establishment.

Leader of the Oppossition (LO) Mukul Sangma said in his address to newsmen said that the Congress party will hold protest programmes from the 14th of this month. We will start the protest programmes on this disastrous and unprecendented proposal of the state government. He said, “ The government never anticipated the ramification because of its insensitity and lack of concern to the indigeneous people of the state”.

Stating that the Government along with the NGOs have had exhaustive deliberations wherebye laws have been initiated to check illegal immigration, here comes a government that try to legalise illegant migrants through back door entry”.
