Congress shouldn’t accuse BJP over corruption, rather they were involved in major scams : CM Sonowal

Duliajan/Digboi: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday participated at four election rally in Upper Assam for Dibrugarh Lok Sabha Constituency candidate Rameshwar Teli.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal first participated at an election meeting at Borbil playground in oil town Digboi.

Speaking to the media, Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal said, “The nation had been through a dark phase under the Congress regime since last 55 years, the Congress party has been cases of corruption under its belt and have been involved in major scams since they were in power in the centre. Therefore, they have no right to charge Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is working party day and night for the sake of the people of India and Northeast. Prime Minister Modi had shown what he is capable of and what his visions are for Northeast.”

CM Sonowal also stated confidently that the BJP party is going to conquer at least 12 Lok Sabha seats out of 14 from Assam in the upcoming general elections by defeating Congress and other opposition parties.

CM Sonowal then headed towards Duliajan for another election meeting which was held Old Derial Tea Estate Field. Followed by lunch, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal then attended his third election meeting at Merbeel playground in Naharkatia Legislative Council.

CM Sonowal later made his arrival to the final election meeting in Moran’s Garudhoria playground today evening.

As per sources from BJP, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will stay tonight in Dibrugarh and will proceed towards Nagaon for another election rally on April 4, 2019.

It is to be noted that Chief Minister Sonowal was joined by senior Bharatiya Janata Party and Asom Gana Parishad leaders in each of the election rallies today.
