Congress stages protest against price rise

JORHAT, Feb 24: The Jorhat District Congress committee took out a rally in Jorhat town in protest against food price hike in the State on Wednesday.  About hundred Congress workers shouted slogan against the BJP government. They criticized the Central Government for its alleged failure to solve the burning problems of the State. Later they submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the Deputy Commissioner of Jorhat.  Former MP Deep Gogoi, former Municipality chairman Prasanta Borah and Dhurba Jyoti Hazarika took part in the rally.
