Shillong, Feb 9: The Congress will respond to the charge sheet of the BJP and negate all allegations with substantial facts and evidence.
A day after the BJP released a 36-page booklet that dubbed the Congress regime in the State a span of “15 years of loot”, ruling party’s in-charge of media cell Bobeeta Sharma told The Sentinel, “We are aware of the BJP’s indulgence in mere talk rather than actual work, and we’ll respond to all those charges. We don’t want to get into loose talks because our reply will be substantial and factual.”
Sharma added that the party would examine bit by bit all the “‘exhaustive false allegations” of the BJP. No time frame has been given by the Congress leader, but other sources in the party said the party will give a befitting reply to the allegations being hurled upon. Prominent among those were the failure to fulfil the 30 agendas listed by the Congress in the last elections. The reprisal by the Congress to the BJP allegations is expected when the Chief Minister Mukul Sangma returns to the capital. A team of alysts is already in place to speed up the spade work in countering the BJP charge sheet, informed a source.
