Congress will come back to power, Kaliabor & Nagaon to remain as key seats for Congress: Pradyut Bordoloi

Nagaon: After AICC releases its first lists of candidates on March 15, APCC vice president, Pradyut Bordoloi today visits Nagaon's Baharampur.

Former Congress Minister Pradyut Bordoloi is one of the possible Lok Sabha candidates for Nagaon Lok Sabha Constituency.

He will be addressing a party meeting at Shahid Puthibhoral today in Baharampur.

Lambasting Bharatiya Janata Party and Asom Gana Parishad for coming into alliance betraying the sentiments of the people of the state, Pradyut came down heavily upon MLA and Former Chief Minister of Assam Prafulla Kumar Mahanta today. He blamed for the last 33 years, not a single issue of Baharampur constituency was solved.

Also, expressing his gratitude towards the Congress workers in the region, Pradyut praised, "The supporters of the Congress party had been working day and night, therefore I wish them from my heart," adding, "I also believe former MLA Dr Durlav Chamuah is also a strong candidate from Nagaon, if I am not being appointed as the candidate for Nagaon, I will still continue my work for my party with devotion and for the sake of people of the region."

Furthermore, Pradyut claimed with confidence that Congress will come back to power in 2019 elections with Nagaon and Kaliabor to remain as the key seats for Congress in the Lok Sabha Polls.
