Congress will form government for the fourth time: Anjan Dutta

GAURISAGAR, Jan 28: The Congress government has been working for the betterment of poor people, cultivators, women empowerment and solving unemployment problem. So in the forthcoming election, Congress will form government in Assam for the fourth consecutive time, said Anjan Dutta, MLA of Amguri LAC and Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president while iugurating the  Bahumukhi Prakalpa Bhavan  on Thursday at  Gaurisagar,  built at the cost of Rs 1.25 crore under the 13th fince commission.

Addressing the meeting as a chief guest, Dutta said that Congress worked for the people but did not want publicity whereas the opposition party did not do any work but sought wide publicity. Surprisingly Dutta opined that a section of people had been always obstructing the development of Amguri LAC and the people of Amguri LAC should identify them.

The meeting was chaired by Shanta Buragohain, president, Sivasagar Zila Parishad. In his speech Dhiren Hazarika, Chief Executive Officer, Sivasagar Zila Parishad spoke about the technical aspects of the building. He even said that Sivasagar had been occupying first position in Assam in implementation of government plans and programmes.

The other dignitaries who attended the meeting were Ajit Ranjan Gogoi, president, Sivasagar District  Congress Committee, vice-president, Chandi Gogoli, Dilip Kumar Gogoi, BDO, Gaurisagar Development Block, Nizamuddin Ahmed, president, Amguri Anchalik Panchayat and Executive Officer of Sivasagar Zila Parishad, among others.

In the meeting Dutta declared Rs 2 lakh grant for the construction of kabarsthan at Gaurisagar. On the same day Dutta laid the foundation stone of the computer and science laboratories  of Khakhokora and Dikhowmukh Jajati High School  to be constructed at a cost of Rs 22.89 lakh under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA) Mission.
