'Congress will form government in 2016 also'

GAURISAGAR, Dec 18: APCC president Anjan Dutta claimed that the Congress will form Government in Assam in 2016 also.

Addressing the gathering during the iuguration of cultural activists Deben Neog memorial auditorium at Dikhowmukh on Thusday Dutta said, “During the time of six years long Assam agitation congress had win 25 seats in Assam Assembly election in upper Assam. The response of Congress in upper Assam is always good. For the forthcoming Assam Assembly election we are targeting lower Assam. In 2016 Assembly poll, the six LAC seats of Sivasagar district will be obtained by congress and we will form government.”

The iugural function was held under the chairmanship of Upen Bharali, president, Jakaichuk Samabai  Samiti.

The dignitaries attended the meeting were Virendra Mittral, Deputy Commissioner, Sivasagar, Dr. Saumarjyoti  Mahanta, Principal, Sibsagar Commerce College, Ajit Ranjan Gogoi, Chandi Gogoi, president and vice-president respectively in Sivasagar District Congress Committee, Pankaj Bharali, Member, Jakaichuk Zila Parishad, Suren Borah, Secretary, Gaurisagar Block Congress Committee, Angkita Dutta, Vice President, Youth Congress Committee, Jorhat Loka Sabha, Tapan Gohain, Circle Officer, Sivasagar Revenue Circle  and Rajib Hazarika,  Asstt Secretary, Assam Olympic Association. In his speech Virendra Mittral urged upon the people of the locality to give importance in  proper maintaining of  Deben Neog memorial  auditorium in future .Addressing the gathering Dr.Saumarjyoti Mahanta expressed his thanks and gratitude to Anjan Dutta for  providing a very beautiful auditorium for the people of Dikhowmukh. He also lauded the effort of Deben Neog , a prominent cultural activists who had resigned government job during  sixth decade and dedicated his life in making of the dresses of Bhao. As a pioneer of Sri Sankar Dev Kala krishti Kendra ,Dikhowmukh  he had  consecrated for cultural development in entire area. Dr.Mahata also expressed his gratitude the people of Dikhowmukh for ming the bhawan as Sanskritik Karmi Deben Neog Suwarani Bhawan(cultural activists Deben Neog memorial Auditorium). On the night a cultural function was held where noted artist Jubilee performed songs which enthralled the audience. Earlier that every year Rass Mahutsav  observes  in the auditorium but due to ongoing construction this year Rass Mahutsav  would not observed in time.
