Congress will form the next government: Durga Das Boro

KALAIGAON, March 11: “Congress will form the next government in Assam because Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi was able to fulfil his commitment to the people of Assam in these 15 years,” said Congress spokesperson Durga Das Boro at a mass gathering at Kalaigaon on Friday. He also said that the ruling BPF in BTAD would be able to win only one seat out of 16. “People were fed up with BPF rule,” he added.  On the occasion of Gandhi Sabha, an open meeting was organized by Darrang Congress along with Kalaigaon Congress on Friday at Barbagan Chariali under Kalaigain LAC.  Jayth Sarma, a newcomer in the Congress party, also spoke in this Gandhi Sabha. Addressing the people, he said that he joined the Congress to prevent commul politics in Assam.  Around ,3000 people were present in this meeting where Kesher Shing, general secretary of All India Congress Committee, took part as chief guest. Several leaders like Darrang Congress president Debabrat Dutta, Darrang Congress secretary Oahedur Rahman, Shah Alam and Kaushik Deka, president of Kalaigaon Youth Congress took part in this meeting.
